I went on a hike once, an accidental hike. i wasn’t planning on six miles, and I wasn’t anywhere near prepared. it was the hardest hike I’ve ever hiked, it was hot, and I don’t think I’ve ever climbed so many steps in my life. as I hiked I heard a lot of “how much longer?” and “I don’t think I can make it” ..the trail wasn’t outrageous, one girl even jogged up it, but obviously we aren’t all in the same shape as one another.. that’s just like life, we all move at different paces, and things get thrown at each of us at different times. nobody is going to go through their life the same exact way, just like nobody is going to climb a mountain the same. we will all stumble in different ways, theres areas that are more trying for some, while others may sail through them with ease. long story short even though I wasn’t prepared for this err, adventure, and even though there may have been a few bumps along the way, some negativity, and moments where I was a little thirsty, the view from the top.. it was worth it, it was so worth it. the view was beyond beautiful and I felt so proud of myself for making it to the top. life can knock you down, things can happen when you least expect them to or when you don’t even see them coming, but no matter what, keep climbing.. there’s a view up there that you don’t want to miss. I’m on another hike right now, and this one, this one is pretty steep and it’s real rocky, but I’ve got my eye on the top, and I will make it.
