on this bike ride i saw two people fall down while skateboarding, twenty-seven dogs (three of which were french bull dogs), four surfboards, six frisbees, two drones, a million bonfires, and a partridge in a pear tree. summers are pretty crazy down here by the beach, crowds of adults, teenagers, and children in all directions. lately most of my bike rides have consist of dodging children and slow walkers, but hey, it makes for some great people watching. and nothing beats catching the sun set behind the ocean, in that moment all the people and the chaos seem to disappear. it’s like the world slows down for a second. it reminds me how lucky i am to live in this place.
